Senior Software Engineer

What you'll do

  • Creation of new features and related projects, from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and clarify project requirements. 

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior software engineers, helping them develop their technical skills and grow in their roles. 

  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for code and technical designs to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration. 

  • Maintain code health including unit test and integration test harnesses.

  • Maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring our software can be delivered predictably and reliably. 

  • Optimize application performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies. 

  • Implement and advocate security best practices to protect user data and ensure application security. 

What you'll work with

  • C# and .NET Frameworks 6 and above in MVC, WebAPI, Lambda and Console applications. 

  • Python and JavaScript Lambdas 

  • Azure DevOps. 

  • AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, RDS and more). 

  • SQL and NoSQL Technologies. 

What you'll bring

Desired qualifications:

  • Computer Science degree 2.1 or higher. 

  • Several years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a track record of successfully delivering complex software projects in C# and .NET frameworks. 

  • Experience in mentorship, training, or leading technical teams. 

Nice to have:

  • Qualifications in AWS. 

  • Experience with PowerBI. 

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. 

  • Experience in/delivering to the UK public sector and/or CXM solutions.

We offer flexible working arrangements for everyone, in line with business needs. This role is primarily remote, although you must be able to attend our Oakham HQ as required (typically two days per quarter).
